A ‘Culture of Excellence’
'To provide outstanding learning opportunities and to inspire each individual to do their best in an enterprising and inclusive environment.'
Introduction by Philip Turnpenny, Chairman of Governors
The school has a long and proud tradition and I regard being the Chair of Governors as both a privilege and honour. I and the rest of the Governors are committed to supporting the school and acting in its best interests.
We are lucky in the strength that we have within our Governing Body: Governors bring with them a wealth of knowledge and experience from diverse backgrounds. In addition to attending meetings of the Governing Body, Governors, amongst other things serve on one of the two Committees, are linked to a Key Stage and attend events within school. This gives Governors a clear picture of both the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the school.
Some Governors also have designated responsibility areas e.g. child protection and safeguarding ( including e safety), special educational needs, pupil premium and health & safety.
All the Governors are looking forward to working together with staff, students, parents and the wider community to make the school even better.
